World Music Day – Flashmob
On World Music Day, June 21, 2022, we surprised fast train “Soko” passengers with a mini-concert of classical and film music performed by the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra.
A group of 12 musicians, performing live for the first time on a train, played several popular compositions and classical music gems, providing a special experience during the half-hour journey between two cities.
The tremendous applause echoing through the train cars, the smiling faces of surprised passengers continuously recording the entire event on their mobile phones and live streaming on social media, were evidence that the idea for such a flashmob was a great success! Moreover, the event received exceptional coverage in all media.
This concert was the perfect way to celebrate World Music Day, promote the “Soko” train, classical music, and culture, and further bring together Belgrade and Novi Sad.
